Black Radish Chips with Greek Yogurt and Hen of the Woods
Filed in Appetizer, Dinner, Gluten Free, Side, Vegetarian, 07/07/2010, 13:20It’s too hot to blog. Hen of the Woods is a mushroom I got from H-Mart. H-Mart is incredible. Black radish is a big radish with black skin that is spicier than your run of the mill red radish. It also came from H-Mart. Roasting black radishes makes them less overwhelming.

Grilled Pizza
Filed in Dinner, Vegetarian, lunch, 05/07/2010, 10:32It was close to 100 degrees the other day. Heating up the kitchen with a 400 degree oven is the last thing we wanted to do,so firing up the barbie is the way to go. Grilling pizza dough is quick and gives it a crispy charred flavor that is as close as you’re going to [...]
Asparagus Nachos with Goat Cheese and Mushrooms
Filed in Appetizer, Side, Vegetarian, lunch, 20/06/2010, 15:14Okay Asparagus isn’t the only component to these nachos, nor is it the principal ingredient, but it is an ingenious concept. My sister had some asparagus Nachos at some restaurant in Boston, so we decided to (loosely) follow their example. You’d think that Asparagus Nachos might be healthier than regular nachos, but that’s [...]

Filed in Brunch, Dinner, It's the weekend!!!!, Vegetarian, breakfast, lunch, 23/05/2010, 15:51It’s been a long hard week. I had to put Ella to sleep, which was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I am still adjusting to life without her, it’s slightly lonely and feels like I’ve lost a limb.
If deep fried avocadoes hasn’t been a food trend yet, it’s going to [...]

I’ve never had them before, [...]
