PB and A

This post is dedicated to my beloved Jon, who could eat PB and J’s each day for the rest of his life (along with pasta and marinara sauce and cereal). We had a sandwich like this once at Earth and Tea Cafe in Harrisonburg, a while ago. I tried to emulate it.

Peanut Butter and Tahini Sandwich with Apple, Honey and Nutmeg.
Serves 1

2 Slices of bread
2 tbsp Crunchy PB
1 tbsp Tahini
1 tsp Honey
1/2 Apple

Toast bread. Mix together peanut butter and tahini. Spread over bread and drizzle with honey, arrange apples on top.

As the muse for this post, I thought I’d share your readers with what I consider to be the greatest sandwich you could ever create. Ladies and gentlemen, I bring to you…

Peanut Butter and Jelly with King Vitaman!!!!
    Serves 1

2 slices of bread (pref. martin’s potato bread, which is as soft as pillows)
    2 tbsp Crunchy PB
    2 tbsp Grape Jelly
One large handful of King Vitaman cereal (DO NOT SUBSTITUTE!)

Don’t toast a damn thing, put your PB & J on, then pile on your cereal. Eat. Enjoy. Thank Me Later.

(Editors Note: Put PB on BOTH sides on the bread first, if you plan on taking it to work. Then put the jelly on top second. Otherwise, by lunch time, the jelly will have soaked thru and you’re left with a soggy sandwich, and a very unhappy work day ahead.)
